This site collects very little. This page says exactly what, and what happens to it.
01Scope
This policy covers this website and the forms on it.
CMD Consulting Pty Ltd runs the site. We are an engineering consultancy in Brisbane, Australia.
It does not cover other companies’ websites that we link to.
02Collection
Two public forms on this site collect personal information: the quote form and the paper download form.
The quote form asks for your name, company and email address. A phone number, your site and the equipment details are optional.
The paper form asks for your name, company and email address.
Nothing else is collected from you on the public site.
Clients with a sign-in also give us an email address and a password. Sign-ins are issued by us, not opened to the public.
When a client uses the calculator, we record the mill details they entered. Those describe equipment, not a person.
Clients who can order also give us their company name, ABN, a contact name and a phone number. We hold their billing and delivery addresses against their sign-in.
When a client places an order, we keep the order. That means the products and packs, the delivery address, the purchase order number, the date needed and any notes. We also keep the quotation we issue against it.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs. Those include your IP address, and they exist to serve and protect the site.
03Limits
This site runs no analytics. We do not track visitors, and we do not count them.
There are no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies, and no third-party scripts of any kind.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it for advertising.
One tool here stores nothing at all. The girth-gear sizing calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into it reaches us.
04Cookies
This site sets cookies only when you sign in. They keep you signed in, and do nothing else.
If you never sign in, this site sets no cookies.
There is no cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to.
05Location
Your information is stored in a database in Sydney, Australia.
The servers that run this site also run in Sydney.
Our hosting and database providers are United States companies. They operate those servers for us and can reach them.
Emails about enquiries, downloads and orders go through a United States email provider.
06Access
Mike Daniel reads the enquiries and the download requests. Access is limited to CMD people who need it.
The public pages cannot read them back.
The database accepts new records from those pages and returns none. That is deliberate, and we tested it.
On the site, only CMD’s own signed-in view shows enquiries.
Order records are different. A client can see their own orders and account details when signed in. CMD can see them all, and nobody else can.
07Retention
We keep your details until you ask us to delete them.
We do not set an expiry date. A mining purchase can take years, and enquiries often come back.
If you would rather we did not hold them, say so and we will remove them.
08Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you. You can ask us to correct it, or to delete it.
Email Mike. We will do it, and confirm when it is done.
There is no charge, and you do not need to give a reason.
